Why is this transcription gig better than others?
I am a native English speaker from the UK. Why does this matter? Your audio file will often contain fast and dynamic natural speech. You don't have to be a native speaker to transcribe English, but I think it definitely helps capture conversational and cultural nuances.
I prioritize precision. If a word is unclear, I won't just guess. I'll use context-based research to figure it out. You may be surprised by the specific legal and medical terminology, industry terms, or regional slang that I may pick up for your transcription. As a last resort, I will highlight unclear words for your review. My last big project only had four unclear words out of 38,000. My job is to make your job easier so you don't have to waste time reviewing your transcript after delivery.
